Our Services

We handle the paperwork. You get to focus on the person.

We help the person you love get connected with a caregiver - usually someone already caring for them. Then we stand behind that caregiver: we carry the paperwork, keep everything current with the state, and stay on the other end of the phone.

Where we start

We start with one question: who is already doing the caring?

Almost every family who comes to us already has someone carrying the load. Our job is to get that recognized, take the administrative weight off them, and make sure they never have to figure the system out alone.

CES Waiver support & paperwork

Nobody should have to fight the system to get help.

Most of the families who find us are already doing the caring. What they cannot get through is the paperwork. So that is where we start.

We sit down with you, help you apply through the Arkansas Department of Human Services, and explain each step in plain language - what happens next, where you are in the process, and what to expect. Once support is approved, we build the person-centered service plan with you and keep it current year to year.

You will always have a real person to call when a form does not make sense.

Supporting the caregiver

Most of our work is with you, not the forms.

In most of the families we serve, someone is already doing the caring. A mom, a daughter, a sister. They did not sign up for a second job of applications, renewals and state deadlines - but that is what comes with getting help.

So we take that part. We keep the paperwork current, track what the state needs and when, and handle the renewals before they turn into a problem.

And when something does not make sense, or the day has been long and you just need to talk it through with someone who knows the system, you call us. That is not extra. That is the job.

  • The paperwork, the applications and the renewals
  • Keeping the waiver and service plan current with the state
  • Deadlines tracked so they do not sneak up on you
  • Straight answers when a form does not make sense
  • A real person on the phone, not a call center
  • Someone who knows your family, not just your file

Who we serve.

The people who need the care - and the people giving it.

Individuals

Adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Bryant and across central Arkansas who need to get connected with a caregiver and the support they qualify for.

The caregivers behind them

Most often a family member who has been doing this for years without much help of their own. We carry the administrative side so they can stay focused on the person they love.

What services does Abbacy Care of Arkansas provide?

Two things. First, we help the person you love get connected with a caregiver, and in most families that is someone already doing the caring. That means helping you apply through Arkansas DHS, understanding the waiting list and where you stand, working alongside your PASSE and care coordinator, and building the person-centered service plan. Second, and this is most of our work, we support that caregiver: the paperwork, the applications and the renewals, keeping everything current with the state, deadlines tracked so they do not sneak up on you, and a real person to call when a form does not make sense.

What is the CES Waiver?

The Community and Employment Support (CES) Waiver is an Arkansas Medicaid program that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities get support in their own home and community, rather than in an institution. Applying for it, and keeping it current, takes paperwork. That is where we come in.

Do you help with the application and the paperwork?

Yes, and it is where we start. Most of the families who find us are already doing the caring, and what they cannot get through is the paperwork. We sit down with you, help you apply through the Arkansas Department of Human Services, and explain each step in plain language: what happens next, where you are in the process, and what to expect. Once support is approved, we build the person-centered service plan with you and keep it current year to year. You will always have a real person to call when a form does not make sense.

Who does Abbacy Care support?

And the caregivers behind them, most often a family member who has been doing this for years without much help of their own. We carry the administrative side so they can stay focused on the person they love.

How do we start a conversation about the CES Waiver?

Abbacy Care of Arkansas holds a Community and Employment Support (CES) Waiver license through the Arkansas Department of Human Services. The best first step is a conversation. Call us at (501) 507-8679 and tell us about your loved one and where you are, whether that is already on the waiver, waiting on a slot, or just starting to look into it. We listen first, and we will strive to answer every question and ease every concern.

Do you provide the day-to-day care yourselves?

No. We are not the ones providing the day-to-day care. We are the ones making sure the person who is never has to do it alone. We help the person you love get connected with a caregiver, and in most families that is someone already doing the caring. From there, most of our work is with that caregiver: the paperwork, the renewals, keeping everything current with the state, and a real person to call when something does not make sense.
